A pretty intense weekend spent at Eaton Manor in Shropshire. Having taken delivery of a new Hoyt Podium a number of weeks ago I wanted to take the opportunity of shooting 70m indoors to get it properly setup and tuned. Once I was reasonably happy with how it was handling I then shot an awful lot of arrows over the remainder of the weekend to familiarise myself with the feel of the bow and to build up confidence in it and my ability to shoot it. Managed to shoot a 695 50m round as my first scored round with the Podium which I was more than happy with and gives me confidence that I can take things forward over the coming season. We had a really good time over the weekend - it was a great combination of archery training and leisure. Now I need a day or two to let my body recover... |
